How to sponsor a student

 

Help your children communicate with the sponsored student

 

The sponsoring students are also encouraged to communicate with the students they are sponsoring. This is not only part of the program requirement, it also helps the children to reinforce a sense of responsibility while refreshing the Chinese language.

 

The students can communicate in a number of ways:

• They can simply send regular mails directly to the child in China
• If they prefer or if they do not want to disclose their personal information such as the home address, they can send the letters to UWCCD in the US and we will forward to the child in China in UWCCD envelopes
• They can also send email, preferably in Chinese and addressed to the child, to letter@uwccd.org. We will forward the email to a volunteer in China who would then have the content delivered to the child. If possible, we recommend that you hand-write the letter and then send us a scanned image of the letter.
