How to Sponsor a Student |
Program Introduction
How the money is distributed and used
After the receipt of the contribution from the sponsoring parents/children, UWCCD will immediately distribute the money to the designated students in China.
Typically, we'd wire the money to China through established financial institutions in the US, but sometimes we would also have volunteers directly bring the money to China.
Except the service fees charged by financial institutions to receive and/or send the money, if any, the contributions from the parents/children in the US will be used exclusively for the students they are sponsoring in China.
UWCCD will NOT use any of the parents' contribution for its own management or the program administration. We will seek seperate donations from enterprises and individuals to cover these expenses.
To ensure the donations are actually used for the benifits of the designated students for the said purpose, we always work out a satisfactory system with the local schools or volunteers involved before any contributions are distributed. All efforts are being made so that the contributions are used exclusively for the designated students.
The actual use of the money will be based on policies set up by UWCCD and agreed upon between UWCCD and the schools or volunteers in China. Accountings of the contribution are regularly reported back to UWCCD and offical records are always kept for donar review.
Periodically we will also send our own staff or un-related volunteers travel to the program locations and perform inspection and auditing on-site. |
